I absolutely love Molly's! Very knowledgeable and friendly... Plus great competitive prices! It's clear that Louis has a passion for bikes and providing great customer service. It's an awesome feeling to walk in the shop and feel right at home. Pet friendly and GREAT Staff :) Thank you so much for the awesome experience. I found my FOREVER Bicycle Shop

My family and I have been customers of Molly's Bicycle shop for awhile, since we are local to the Chesterfield area. Recently they moved from their Enon location to a location in Chester (just down route 10) Went to their new location and it looks like a great setup, with much more space. The owner, Louis, as well as the other employees have always been very friendly and helpful to me and my family, especially when answering our questions that come up. I highly recommend this bicycle shop to anyone in the area.

I'm leaving this review after multiple revisits and phone calls hoping for a better experience.

So here are the reasons I'm giving Molly's 2 stars:

If you're someone that is indecisive or doesn't know what you want/need...then Molly's will help you pick SOMETHING out. If attention to detail is not something you're concerned with...then Molly's will get you squared away. Otherwise...I suggest going to one of the various bike shops in the Richmond/Glen Allen area.

First let me say that the entire staff at Molly's is extremely friendly and welcoming. The owner and head mechanic are knowledgeable and helpful.

Awesome having a real bike shop in Chester! Very knowledgeable staff helped me with a suspension problem. Also love the dogs! Laid back and fun place to do business!

About a year ago I ordered a high end bike from Molly's knowing that it would take a week or 2 for delivery and assembly. Prior to ordering I asked for them to let me know when the bike arrived so that I could take some parts off my current bike to be put on the new bike during the build process. A couple of weeks after ordering I received a call stating that my bike was ready and that I could come pick it up. I reminded them that I had parts that I needed to bring in to be put on. They said no problem...it will be a few more days after I drop the parts off since they have to disassemble and reassemble now. When I got to the shop with my parts I looked the bike over and noticed that the cable/di2 wire routing wasn't correct. I pointed this out to them and made it clear what my expectations were after they installed the new parts. I returned a few days later after receiving a call that the bike was ready. First thing I notice...the cable/di2 routing is still wrong. I point this out to the owner and mechanic again and they try to tell me that it's better this way. I tell them again that I am not satisfied with this, I want it done exactly as the engineers at Felt designed the bike to be assembled and not the easy way that Molly's had decided to do it. I was told that it would be ready for me the following day. I received a call the next day saying it was ready for me. So finally the cable/di2 wire routing is correct and I am happy with it. On the way out the door i notice that the handlebar stem clamp is on crooked and needs to be re-torqued evenly...the mechanic apologized and fixed it for me right then. These are things that should not be overlooked and shortcuts that should not be taken regardless of the bike value...but even more so on a $5000 bike.

Aside from the owner and head mechanic....the rest of the staff seems to have very limited knowledge or experience with any of the products that they sell or with bicycles of different types in general. Majority of the time when I call looking for something, I have to spend a ridiculous amount of time explaining what I'm looking for only to hear "Hm, I'll have to look into that and give you a call back." The return call is typically the owner band-aiding his employees lack of knowledge or ability to research an item over the phone.

Awesome people at Molly's. Great service is an understatement. Will tell you what you need and don't need, rather than push a sale. Love going there!
