This is a very welcoming church. Our family loves attending. The pastor is amazing with eye opening and encouraging messages. He is approachable when needed. And he makes us laugh! The children's ministry is awesome. My kids really enjoy going to church and they learn so much. Members of the congregation we have met so far are warm and friendly. So many talented and helpful people. I hope we continue to meet with more members. We are so thankful we found CLC. I honestly do not know where we would be without them.
Pastor Dennis is amazing.he holds your attention while preaching with his wisdom and sense of humor.you leave there with a great feeling in you heart, your soul, and your mind.
Truly I try and have a humble approach to people and just life in general but I was sincerely worried and disappointed by my short time visiting this church. My husband and I decided to try this church since we recently moved here and needed to find a new home church. Upon arrival the church's exterior is very pleasant. It has sort of a hip church vibe. There isn't enough parking for the amount of people that were going to the 10:15 service but coming from a huge church in San Antonio it's not really a big deal to me. My husband and I parked across the street and it was a short pleasant walk. Once inside there were many people buzzing about getting to where they needed to be. Both me and my husband needed to use the bathroom so we went to our respective bathroom and they were beautiful! Seriously the most beautiful bathrooms I've ever seen! Since the service had just started the music was playing and because of the speakers in the bathroom it was quite loud (but in a pump you up sorta way). We walked into the auditorium and it was so dark I couldn't see anything for a second or so but was quickly ushered to an open seat. The Auditorium was smaller than I thought but was fitted with the finest of current Christian trends in decking out your platform. LED lights draped down and we're memorizing enough to distract anyone from the worship music that was being played. The vocals were very good and the music was very well played but this is where things really started to nag on me. The words to the song were normal strong emotional Christian worship but it just felt so dead despite all the pretty things going on in the pretty building. But I let it go since that can be just feelings and we shouldn't be driven by them. Then the music ended and a young man I b
Wonderful and uplifting place to worship.music is great and makes you feel alive.
I had a very warm worship experience here. My kids loved it and i loved it, too. The word was touching and praise / worship was perfect.
When I don't have to work on Sundays my girlfriend and I make the hour trip to go because that's where I want to be.
elieve was the main pastors son walked on stage and begin to talk and as hard as I tried I still have no idea what he was talking about but he talked for a good while about a recent trip to Disney he and his family has been on. Then after more talking of another person the pastor came on and this is where I was done. Pastor began to light-heartedly talk about a "sin" he struggled with (speaking his mind at the wrong time). His approach was cavalier and irreverent. He almost cheered on or beckoned the church to celebrate the horrible story he was telling us (which many times immature men in the audience would stand up and clap at the pastor talking about his rude behavior). We were literally 45 minutes into the service and Jesus still hadn't been talked about. I'm sure that by the end of it all the pastor had wrapped it in a nice psuedo-christian present with some nice life lesson but my husband and I just got up and left. And with my church back home if someone new was seen leaving we'd ask why and then give them some other churches to check out that may be more up their alley. This never happened. We'd gotten up early and driven to a church looking for our spirit to fed. Both my husband and I prayerfully kept giving this church a benefit of a doubt, minute by minute, but the nourishment never came. This is a beautiful church with a beautiful "worship" service but it's dead or very badly hurting. It's a great community hangout spot but I can't say God is there. I would probably need more time there but my hunger for the word cannot be prolonged for a moment of satiation that may not come.
When ever I leave there I always feel good.
Come as you are. Pastor Dennis brings the word in his own flare. Awesome messages, awesome people. Talented worship team. Teen and childrens church. Cannot say enough how God moves here.
